WHAT PAPERWORK OR ID DO I NEED TO BRING TO PICK UP A UNIT?
You will need your valid Drivers Licence and current vehicle insurance papers. We take a scan of them for the file.
HOW DOES THE INSURANCE WORK?
For trailers, they have their own liability insurance. While attached to your vehicle they are covered by your insurance for any damage just like any trailer. For the power units, you will need to have Roadstar insurance or some form of insurance for rental vehicles on your coverage. If you do not have that, a basic plan can be purchased from ICBC for about $15 per day to cover you. One of these policies needs to be in place to rent the van or car.
WHAT DO I NEED TO TOW A TRAILER?
You need a frame mounted hitch, a tow shank and ball, and 4 wire electrical wiring. A bumper mounted tow ball will not work. If you have a 7 wire electrical you will need an adapter to plug in.
I'VE NEVER TOWED A TRAILER. CAN I STILL RENT ONE?
Yes. We all start somewhere. Any damages will be attached to your insurance and you will lose your deposit so let's not go there...
